Business Services
Can you cash checks made payable to my business?
Yes. David’s Money Centers specializes in commercial check cashing — cashing checks made payable to a business, LLC, corporation, or sole proprietorship. No bank account is required. Bring the check and your valid government-issued photo ID. Business documentation may be required for first-time commercial transactions.
What fees do you charge for business checks?
Commercial check cashing fees are not subject to the New York State consumer fee caps that apply to personal checks. Business check rates vary based on the check type, amount, issuer, and your account history with us. Typical commercial rates range from 3% to 5%. All fees are always disclosed before any transaction is completed — you have the right to decline at no cost.
Is there a maximum amount you will cash for a business?
We cash large business and commercial checks including checks in excess of $25,000. For larger transactions, we strongly recommend calling your preferred location in advance so we can confirm availability and have funds ready when you arrive.
What types of businesses do you serve?
We serve businesses of all sizes and types including:
- Contractors and construction companies
- Landscaping and ground crews
- Restaurants, delis, and food service businesses
- Retail stores and service businesses
- Sole proprietors and LLCs
- Corporations
- Legal and settlement recipients
- Insurance and healthcare businesses
Can I set up a recurring commercial account?
Yes. Businesses with regular check cashing needs can apply for a commercial account with David’s Money Centers. A commercial account streamlines processing for recurring business transactions and may offer additional benefits for established customers. Contact your preferred location or submit a commercial inquiry through our website to get started.
Do you cash out-of-state business checks?
Yes. Out-of-state business checks are accepted. Additional verification may be required based on the issuer and check amount. Calling ahead is recommended for out-of-state commercial checks above standard thresholds.
Why do businesses use David’s instead of a bank for check cashing?
The primary reason is speed and access. Banks place holds on business checks that can last 3 to 7 business days. At David’s, there are no holds — your business check is cashed immediately and you walk out with cash. This is critical for contractors, landscapers, and other businesses that need to pay their crews on the same day they receive payment. Additionally, we are open until 8 PM weekdays and on Sundays at Spring Valley — after most banks have closed.
How do I submit a commercial inquiry?
You can submit a commercial inquiry through our Business Services page. Fill out the form with your name, business name, check type, approximate amount, and preferred location — and our team will follow up within one business hour during operating hours. For urgent needs, call your nearest location directly.
